Colon hydrotherapy (also known as colonics, colon irrigation or colon cleansing) exercises colon muscles that have been weakened by the build-up of toxic debris.

The build-up of toxins weakens the colon and impairs its functioning.

Receiving regular colonics is like taking your colon to the gym.

The colon is the large intestine and the end portion of the human digestive tract. It eliminates waste, conserves water and absorbs electrolytes and minerals.  Waste material such as impacted faeces, parasites, dead cellular tissue and other toxins which have remained in the colon may pose health problems such as fatigue, overgrown bad bacteria and yeast as well as hindering the colon’s ability to assimilate minerals.

A build up of materials in the large intestine wall can inhibit the colon’s muscular action causing sluggish bowel movements, slow transit times and constipation.

Colon hydrotherapy is a safe method of removing waste from the lower part of the large intestine without the use of drugs such as laxatives, while stimulating peristalsis (the wave-like muscular action the colon uses) and hydrating the colon.  Infusing filtered and temperature regulated water into the colon through a small (pencil size) sterile disposable rectal tube, the waste is softened and loosened, resulting in evacuation through natural peristalsis.

The gentle filling and emptying of the colon improves peristalsis (muscular contraction) by which the colon naturally moves material.

A colonic will eliminate stored faecal matter, gas and toxic substances from the large intestine.  The therapeutic effect improves muscle tone and re-stabilises normal bowel movements enhancing the colon’s ability to absorb nutrients.

The removal of waste encourages better colon function and elimination.
